RUTH PERKINSON

"The novel's backbone is one of social consciousness - demonstrating how narrow-mindedness can drive wedges between families and communities - but the flesh of the story is one of personal consciousness...anyone who has ever felt resigned to a life of compromise and futility should read this book. It will help you find your dancing legs again."

- Terri Jones, V Magazine for Women

What You Need to Know
What everyone should know is that gay youth need a voice!

What GLBT youth need are educators, parents and peers to understand and listen to the true feelings they struggle with on a daily basis. Too many of the GLBT youth are still, EVEN TODAY, relegated, dismissed, bullied and covertly and overtly marginalized by the continuation of the provincial thinking of the masses - due to ignorance and an unwillingness to reach out.

Perkinson is fully supporting and advocating for ROSMY: The Richmond Organization for Sexual Minority Youth. This organization is making stride in its efforts to support the nearly 15,000 gay youth in the metro Richmond area who are in need of resources and services.

Look for her to partner with ROSMY in the future for an alliance that will be strong and resourceful. Go ROSMY!
